Halloween Season Has Begun at Übermidget
as of September 1
Because (with apologies to the summarily ousted Jerry Lewis)

Forget about astronomical summer...meteorological summer is a wrap. So it’s basically one breakneck slide into Thanksgiving from here, with Halloween proper as the way station.
In any event, this haphazard emphasis on singular holidays is overrated. Let us focus on the overarching seasons instead. Surely you've already circled All Hallow's Eve in your day planner, but it’s unlikely that you had much on your agenda in the span from the closing credits of the MDA telethon to 11:59 p.m., October 30, anyway.
So it’s time for us to move the horror films into our Netflix queues and the eerie, unsettling music into our media players. And maybe we’ll think up some stuff to post here during this kooky, autumnal time.
